We were required to produce 8 different A5 sketches to practice the different forms of sketching and rendering. We were to sketch body parts/figures/nature, object projection, geometric projection, a city, one point perspective of an area in Taylor's University, two point perspective of an area in Taylor's University, details in Taylor's University and trace a picture of a building using free hand.
The following are the sketches for project 1:-

The learning outcomes intended for this assignment were to recognize the potential for creativity, self-expression and visual awareness as well as to identify the fundamental principles, elements and techniques in sketching, drawing, design process and presentation skills. The objectives of this project are to identify a personal and expressive response to visual stimulation and to apply basic principles and elements of design and drawing as a language to visualize and to communicate ideas.
After undergoing this project, my sketching and rendering techniques tremendously improved. Sketching also helped me to visualize ideas and put them on paper. The point perspective drawings helped me to document the things that were on site and try to put them on paper as accurately as possible. The sketching of the city enabled me to express my visual creativity in terms of colouring and sketching. In order to obtain a interesting sketch, I had to sketch some things constantly to ensure I got the proportion and scale right. In the end, all the intended learning outcomes and objectives were achieved.

Project 2
Project 2 was divided into two parts : Project 2A and Project 2B. In Project 2A, we were required to produce proper orthographic drawings and proper drawing conventions and representations of a space that was given to us, which was Student Life Centre. We were to measure the site and produce an introductory page, a layout plan, a detailed plan, three or four elevations, one one point or two point perspective of the site, one sketched axonometric drawing of the site and one page of a detailed sketch applying the glass box theory. In Project 2B, we were required to produce bubble diagrams and a diagrammatic analysis of the site. All these requirements were to be produced on 10 to 15 pieces of A3 paper.
The following are the pictures for project 2:-

The learning outcomes intended for this project were to enable us to identify the fundamental principles, elements an drawing as a language to visualize and to communicate ideas and to demonstrate observation skills and able to report, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues through visual communications effectively. Besides that, it is also to enable us to manipulate a variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finished product and to apply drawing as a means of communication in order to express two dimensional and three dimensional ideas.
After undergoing this assignment, I was able to apply the basic elements and principles of design as well as to use drawing as a language to visualize and communicate ideas. i was also able to demonstrate good observational skills in terms of documenting data. This assignment helped me to become more observant and detailed when recording measurements. When drawing the site, I was able to understand it even more.

Project 3
With the site given in Project 2, we were required to produce a site analysis on a maximum of 15 A3 papers as a group. The site analysis contained a location plan, a site context, the size and zoning of the site, the natural and man-made features located around the site, circulation of the site, utilities at the site, sensory perception of the site, human culture and activities at the site, climate and a SWOT analysis of the site. Individually, we were required to prepare a case study on a maximum of 2 A3 papers to propose an idea of what installation would be suitable for the final project.
The following are the pictures of our site analysis:-

The learning outcomes intended for this assignment were to demonstrate observation skills and to be able to record, organize, interpret and describe a variety of issues through visual communication effectively as well as to manipulate a variety of media and techniques to visualize ideas leading to a finished product. The objectives of this project are to enable us to demonstrate observation and visualization skills in a variety of ways with an emphasis on the process of drawing. It is also to enable us to develop confidence to use drawing as a means of communication to express two dimensional and three dimensional ideas.
Through this assignment, my group communication skills improved as well as my observation and data collecting and presentation skills. I was able to think creatively and critically through this project. I was also able to understand my site even better in terms of activities. Through the case study, I was able to research on other wall installation ideas to aid me in my idea for the final project. It helped me to come up with an idea for my site. In the end, all the intended learning outcomes and objectives were achieved.

Project 4
For our final project, we were required to undergo a design process to aid us in presenting our idea for the wall installation. The project was divided into two parts: Part A and Part B. In Part A, we were required to document our design ideas and the process of obtaining our design. The presentation was conducted 3 weeks before our final presentation. In part B, we were required to produce a presentation board on 2 A2 media of our choice containing the design development, site analysis, propose plan and elevations, three sketched perspectives, one photomontage and a final model.
